The rumours surrounding the cancellation of Shakira’s concert performance in Minsk, Belarus are completely unfounded. We look forward to bringing The Sun Comes Out World Tour to the Minsk Arena on May 19th.
Dear Shakira, You might indeed look forward to going singing in Minsk. I suppose you were informed about the internal situation in Belarus. when dozens of people are in prisons upon totally absurd accusations, when hundreds or even thousands are being interrogated by local State Security Committee, is it okay for you to perform in that country? I'm Belarusan myself, believe me: you can't help us now just by bringing whatever world tour you'll be bringing. We need world community's attention, we need solidarity. We can't pretend everything's alright anymore. However, I wish you success. Money doesn't smell, does it?
